This Thursday " Art from the Heart!

This weeks on This Thursday....... our challenge is "Art From The Heart"
" we want you to create something from your heart, so you can use techniques you love, create something either about or for someone you love, You can use poems or music that you love as inspiration. In fact you can use anything you love as inspiration."
Our sponsor this week is 3DJean who supplied us with the Stamp of Greek/Roman Columns.
Jewels, pearls and some fabulous paper photo corner's.
now for my explainations of my examples......
Firstly I made a Shrine ~ A Shrine is a Building or place of worship.
Next, regular visitors to this blog will know that I'm hooked on sketches this card was made using this weeks sketch from I{heart}2stamp
This next card uses three of my favourite techniques,Matting &Layering, Stamping and Inking. and finally A sculpted Plaster of Paris face mounted on Canvas, Im not sure what to call this really other than "James" as I used his face as a mold MIL said its a death mask but she doesn't have a creative bone in her body!!! So what do you really think of this project................. Creepy or Cool??????? My plan with this is to make a cast of my own face to mount next to James' on the wall. I don't feel I need to explain the love in this one!! Our Guest designer this week is Charli Jones she has an amazing blog ,I'm rather partial to her paintings.
  • PP ~ Dovecraft Kate Knight.
  • Ink ~ Archival Sepia and Tim Holtz Distress Ink .
  • Navel Jelly ~ Architectural Brackets( Photo Corners).
  • Pearls and Gems ~ Kiaser Scrapbook.
  • Stamps ~ 3DJean & Cherry Pie.
  • Plaster of paris Rolls ~ Ebay.

Oh my word, what an amazing project that will be, I can't wait to she your mask.
My son {32} made a self portrait out of clay at school, I think he was about 14 at the time and I love it, it hangs on my hallway wall.
